How can I ensure that

How can I ensure that I do not end up working for a ministry where I may become disloyal?

There are some things that take away the joy of work. You must know and avoid these things.

Six Unsuitable Jobs

1.)  A job you have no calling for is an unsuitable job.
When you are not called to something, you get into all sorts of difficulties. A train is not designed to fly. No matter how it is positioned on the runway, flying is impossible! It was designed to stay on the ground and to move along rail tracks.  It is important that you find your calling because you are designed to do specific things. Many difficulties come from doing jobs that you are not suited for. Functioning in a call which is not your own is like taking an honour which is not yours.

And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God…

Hebrews 5:4

2.) A job unsuited for your temperament is an unsuitable job.
Make sure that you are doing a job suited to your particular temperament. If you are a choleric person, find a leadership job that is suitable for choleric people. If you are phlegmatic, ask to be excused from jobs that require a driving, leadership personality!
It is in your interest that you work according to your particular temperament. If you do not, you will repeatedly be regarded as a failure.

3.) A job with bad company is an unsuitable job.
If you do not have to sit with sinners all day long, you are truly blessed. Pray that God will give you people whose company you enjoy.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalms 1:1

4.) A job that is meaningless is an unsuitable job.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 2:11

It is unfortunate to have to do a meaningless job. During the Second World War, one of the punishments given to intelligent professors and scientists was the carrying of rocks from one end of a prison yard to the other. From morning until evening, they carried these rocks to and fro, creating a heap and then taking it apart when it reached a certain height. It was indeed a sore vexation to these honourable men. Some of them went crazy as they did years and years of this meaningless work. Perhaps that is why you are going crazy at your current job.

5.) Working for someone you dislike is an unsuitable job.

Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.

Ecclesiastes 7:7

It is a painful experience to work for someone you dislike. It is truly a joy to work for someone whose company and leadership you enjoy. We pray that you will find an opportunity to work for someone who does not oppress you.

6.) A job you are not prepared for is an unsuitable job.

Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

Proverbs 24:27

The lack of preparation makes work a very difficult thing.  Preparation is necessary for every job.  A lack of preparation makes you incapable of your tasks.  This lack of preparation makes work a difficult experience everyday. It is important to prepare yourself adequately so that you will find yourself enjoying the work God has given you.
